In the past couple of years some new products and techniques have been developed that enable us to offer some unique countertop solutions. For example the introduction of 3 cm solid surface material (3 cm is the thickness of natural stone countertops). This new product offers the benefits of traditional solid surface, for example it can be refinished easily and seams are virtually invisible. At the same time it offers the more traditional look and strength of granite, important in situations that require extra rigidity. For instance in bar overhangs that do not have adequate support.
Other new products include natural stone vanity tops that are made in the most popular vanity cabinet sizes. Thus enabling the use of natural stone countertops at price points that come close to those of pre-fab cash and carry lumberyard products.
There are also more sink options than ever before to go with your new countertops. Sinks come in almost any imaginable configuration and material. Ask your plumbing supplier about new granite composite sinks. They are made by a variety of manufacturers and are very scratch and heat resistant.
